What irons, hot air equipment and solder are you using? Does your scrap rate increase?

everything lead-free is a real PITA on any manual solder and re-work.
there is no way to have it as simple and easy as it was before.

Not really that constructive... Yes, it can be done. Just select the solder with most flux and for the TQFPs also use flux gel.
