Microchip MPLAB IDE Selecting Device

Hi,

Is there a simpler way to choose a device from the MPLAB IDE instead of having to go to the Configure>Select Device menu option?

Can this device be selected by a keyword/define in code?

Help greatly appreciated,

It gets saved with the project settings. Each given project is normally only for one device.
