hi all,

Im using an AT91RM9200 chip nowadays and im starting to look at building an ethernet interface . the chip needs to be used with a physical layer transceiver . The AT91DK uses DM9161E , i cant seem to get hold of that chip . is there any cheap , easily avaliable and easy to use alternative .....by the way im in Delhi , India.

THanks Mayank

The interface to the physical chip is MII or RMII, both are pretty standard. For RMII, Google gave a couple of thousands of hits. There should be more for MII.

Yes, Davicom's stuff is hard to get

You can use Micrel's KS8721. They have 2V5 and 3V3 variants, as wel

as either commercial or industrial Temp. ranges. I don't know ho easy is it to acquire in India, but in Mexico I've had no problems
