I'm building a regen radio, but not too sure if I should use a linear taper pot, or audio taper. Is there really any difference when used as a regeneration control?

I would use a linear taper. The resistance changes rapidly towards one end of the audio taper, making fine control of the regeneration level tricky.
Thanks, it was lucky I asked, I was going to use an audio taper.
