"John Larkin"

** It's Japanese for " hey, hi " or " yes ".

Remember when trendy people ( mostly female) used to say the Italian " ciao " for "hello " or "good bye " ??

The Chinese " ni hao " ( pronounced " knee how " ) will be next.

Yes, mostly certain Indians who want to sound western and sophisticated. That kind also say dude, gonna, wanna, etc in the most inappropriate contexts.

I was briefly acquainted with a Vietnamese named Hoang Hai, studying in Bangalore, India. He said that people often greeted him with "Hi, Hai".

One of the firmware types where I work is named "Wei", pronounced "we". It makes some interesting sentences when the lead programmer is giving the group's status.
