Very neat. Now the electric companies are "public utilities" when you want support and then privately owned when that is convenient. And they are CURRENTLY in the hands of "cowardly, nonsensical drunken sods". My evidence for making that statement is the same as your evidence for attributing that statement to me i.e.NONEXISTANT. You have to lie about what I said to attribute a stupid statement to me, but all I have to do is copy and paste to show you up.

And hopefully, at some point in those studies, you will learn that simply having the knowledge and experience will not be sufficient to help ANYTHING "when the lights go out." No matter how much you know about the subject and how much experience you have, working on downed lines or any other part of the electrical distribution system without being in the employ of, or otherwise having the authorization of, the utility which owns and operates that system is just asking for trouble. You'd almost certainly be making the situation far worse, no matter what you do. Or are you under the impression that bringing a power grid back up is the equivalent of simply plugging in a table lamp that your cat has knocked over?

Sure I see it, Hypothetically they won't arrest you, but not in this universe. They have strict regulations they have to follow, and that includes any civilians on the scene. In some jurisdictions they may even shoot you if you feed them your typical line of bullshit.

What an I say? Buy yourself a scanner and listen to the utility company's two way radios till you hear of a HV power line that is down and rush to the scene to see what they go through to stay alive. They may even have you arrested for interfering with the restoration of a public utility. There is nothing imaginary about electric companies, your state's public utilities commission (PUCO) and the thousands of laws regarding electrical safety. In case you don't know it, most HV power lines that come down do so during storms, with lots of rain or ice buildup on the wires.
