Hello, I have a 2.0Mhz (2 pin ) crystal. I would liek to havr it oscillate so i can incorporate it inta a circuit. I tried puting one leg to Ground and the other to Vdd but nothing. How do i make it oscillate

Your crystal is an electromechanical resonator. It must be combined with gain and feedback, to have it take part in an oscillator.

Then you incorporate it into the circuit.
It's a passive element, and if you want it to oscillate, you need to incorporate it into an oscillator.
Of course, if you'd gotten a 2MHz oscillator, then you'd incorporate that into whatever you are building.

But your scope would be connected from ground to Vdd, right? So you'd be seeing Vdd.
