You're missing the point. It's not just away form the peak of all cones, it's where the y axis reads pretty much zero.

What do you mean distinguish? I can seperate well over 256 colours. Easily proved by looking at a 256 colour image (if you have a computer that old).

Nothing to do with occupation etc. I picked the 5 most obvious colours. If I had to name 10, I'd select orange, but it's simply red and yellow mixed together.

Wrong. Look at the graph. If someone with only a blue and yellow cone was presented with red, they would pick it up mostly with the yellow cone. If they were presented with green, they'd pick it up equally with both cones. So they could easily tell the difference.

How can seeing less colours possibly let you see camouflaged things better? It's the other way round. Camouflage is because two things look the same. The more things you can distinguish, the more likely you can see it.

When I was buying an airbrush for model railway purposes, I found that the majority of online adverts were for makeup application.

Stay away from downtown, Fishermans Wharf, Chinatown, all that dense tourist stuff. There are beautiful quirky neighborhoods, hills and cliffs, beaches, old forts, stairways, lanes, patches of wilderness, creeks, and one actual canyon with owls and coyotes. And some awesome hikes and views.

We recently discovered a dam, which we'd hiked past and missed for 30 years. I don't think any of our neighbors knew about it. Now they do.
