Where to Learn?

Question

Im trying to make a goodbye gift for my friend. he loves playing the guitar so i figured whats better then a mini amp? so i did a bit of research and found the site aaroncake.net and found a plan:

i think the site gives me all the info i need, my only problem is that i dont know how to read the diagram. where can i learn the basic knoledge needed to be able to read the diagram? im also interested in another project on the site.

but it looks far more complicated but still cannot read the diagram. if anyone could point me in the right direction i would be very greatful.

Perhaps a basic electronics course at your local community college, as well -- if you're not reading schematics yet there's probably a _lot_ of other stuff you also need to pick up.

thanks for the input, problem is that where i live, there arentcommunity colleges. and even if they were, they wouldnt speak english.im going to do a lot more research and if all else fails ill just get akit. thanks!
