I use wire nuts on AC power wiring; don't solder that stuff much.

But I do often solder live electronics with grounded-tip irons, especially when powering down will waste a lot of time, like forcing a reload of uP code or something. I mean, you've got the schematic right in front of you.

How about a 25 horse Evenrude outboard bolted to a home made boogie board? T-handle attached to rope attached to front of boogie board! Rider squats on boogie board as two assistants hold the board up in the water and a third assistant starts the motor! Extreeeemly dangerous! But we did it anyway!
