Hi, I am using Linear voltage regulators LT1084CP-5. It starts buzzing on me after 20minutes. Can anyone who has used this part advice me that what is wrong with this parti.e why is it buzzing? The link of the part is as follows

If you monitor the voltage what do you see? It's probably going into thermal limit.

Please do not get emotional. take it easy. I apologize if I hurt your feelings. all i meant to say that if I draw current more that its capability then it buzz or something else.

Hold a scope probe to its output and post again. If you see it turn on and off it may be in thermal overload as Jim hinted. If you see a fast sawtooth or something like that it may be oscillating. In that case if you can't make it work snap a photo of your setup and post on a.b.s.e. or a web site.

Generally if you overload things they buzz or smoke. It's their own little way of telling you to stop :-)
Or both. When they oscillate, they tend to get hotter.
