Understanding diode markings

Hi,

I have a diode and need to obtain a part number. The only information I have are some markings I took off with a magnifying lens. The symbols read |-------------|

------------------------| JX |---------------------- | 445 | | CXP | |-------------| Any directional advice would be helpful. If I could just narrow it down to a manufacturer, I could go from there.

Thanks

Is that a leaded part or SMD ? There should be 'bar' printed on the device to indicate the cathode end anyway.

The markings ring no bells with me. SMD semiconductor parts in small packages are probably too small to get even that much on them actually and usually use subtle markings that have no relation to the part number.
