i have a question on trimedia board. IMHO, there are dsp, fpga and asic for audio/image/video. so, is the trimedia another different type of hardware platform for image/video processing.

If you mean Trimedia as in 'Nexperia' from Philips/NXP, it's a DSP for video processing. You can find it inside ASICs for TVs, set top boxes and suchlike.
