I don't know about that. Are there camps? I don't like camping out anymore. I'm too old and sore for that.

But I always find it amusing when someone feels the need to tell the offending party they are being killfiled. That in itself is a hoot! As if it matters to anyone, especially the one being killfiled.

much the only regular participant who kill-files other regulars - which is what "plonk" means, though I doubt if Phil Hobbs is actually going to kill-file anybody.

back-biting around here than their ought to be. I'm a bit concerned that he rates me with you, but I'm happy to take that as advice to try to raise my game to at least the 14-year-old level. Phil normally does better - he's not up to Spehro Pefany's level, or George Herold or the late great Tony Williams, but he comes closer than most of us.

Well, to be honest, you have had your share of major arguments that degenerate into absurdly immature bickering. But I am impressed (not that impressing me matters in any significant way) that you recognize what I am saying. Obviously John L and Jim T don't have a friggin' clue. Their total lack of understanding about the issue is actually humorous...

BTW, you said there is more "back-biting around here than their[sic] ought to be". Just how much should there be?

For the interim, I'll rate you with the 14 year olds for recognizing the issue... lol

Maybe he is not only tired of the crap, he is tired of hearing me remind you all that it is *crap*?

BTW, Jim, John and the others... notice that I trimmed this post! Oh, I bet that was it... I said something about John not trimming his posts. See John, it was all YOUR fault that I got plonked!!! lol

Actually, if I cared enough to do a survey, I would bet that more than half your posts are the typical rants, insults and bitching that you and many others here post. Just to be legit everyone once in a while you post something technical. But even those degenerate into arguments and insults most of the time.

Do you really not see it? Are you so stuck in a rut that you can't see how much bickering you do?

Oh, and trim your posts...

Larkin claims I said things I didn't say. When he said that, I scoured the Trash file before it got dumped and retrieved all related messages. So Larkin lies, and that can be proven. 'Nuff said. ...Jim Thompson

I had spelled his name right, but the spell checker changed it when I hit send. Since I have him kill filed, there is no reason to add Sloman to the dictionary.

I "un-kill-filed" Slowman when he returned from his hiatus exhibiting some semblance of sanity and sticking to electronics.

He's since gone back to Larkinesque behavior with its concomitant narcissism and pomposity... _P_iled _h_ysterically _D_eep >:-}

Dude, you are just way too wrapped up in this stuff and it is now clear to me that there is nothing I can say that will make either of you even consider why you are in this group or how your actions appear to others. So I will try not to bother you any more.

You don't bother me. I like solving circuit problems. But why does it trouble you that, when someone claims I'm a liar, I document that the claimant is actually the liar? Doesn't the crap have to stop somewhere? ...Jim Thompson

Socrates famously said that the unexamined life is not worth living, which doesn't seem to be a sentiment shared by the proprietor of Highland Technology.

ho can't spell my name right, which does say something depressing about the ir cognitive capacity.

You think I don't know why you deliberately misspell my name? It's not as i f you haven't told me from time to time.

The "cognitive capacity" issue arises because neither you nor Mike Terrell have enough sense to realise that making jokes about peoples names is infan tile behaviour - in real life nobody has played on my name since I was at p rimary school - and persisting with the same lame joke for years is even mo re infantile. I couldn't care less how you two amuse yourselves, but I'm ha ppy to exploit your more obvious idiocies when I feel the need to do a bit of my own childish back-biting.

At risk of showing my own stupidity (or is it far too late to prevent that?) I'll respond. The point is that there is *no* point to any of this. It is all just drama. There will never be any slander charges, there will never be any need for proof of anything. None of this pissing contest matters in any way other than entertainment for whoever gets perverse pleasure from it all. Clearly this is why many of you are here. Yeah, maybe you and John like talking electronics, but you sure like your soap operas too. Like I said to John, I bet the posts you guys make are 99 and 44/100th percent drama.

I can accept that it isn't going to change in any way. But I had to try...
