requirement for suggestions for power supply

can anyone suggest me the appropriate design of the DC power supply for the following conditions:-



1) i have 12v battery(6Ah), i want to take (15v, 1A) constant o/p, even when battery is discharged upto 9.5v.
2) the i/p of power supply should be from battery
3) no external supply should b used for functioning of DC power supply. (except charging the battery)

If the battery is certain never to go up to 15V, you can use a simple booster design with off the shelf inductors and a self contained booster chip such as the LT1170.

Dont forget to put a fuse in the line from the battery to the switcher.
