report as spam

Hey, when did Google groups start adding a "report as spam" link on each post? I encourage everyone to click every spam post as spam. Let's see what's happens.

Just forward spam to snipped-for-privacy@whitehouse.gov

I use a real newsreader, so I do not even see that.

Believe it or not, USENET existed long before Google, and not everyone is a Googler. What you see is part of Google's web-based interface, it is not a working of USENET. But good luck (seriously) trying to fix your stinking Google Groups news server. Please do click on that link. Clicking on that link will certainly be better than replying to spam like the naïve DaveJ does.

They could eliminate 90% of the spam gushing into USENET simply by refusing access from Hong Kong (where there are few if any real USENET users). But that would go against Google's globalistic mindset.

Was that directed at me? (I don't know of any other DaveJ on here) If so - huh?

Dave.

Too late, I don't see any of those since a long time. And I am not going to turn that filter off. Done it once, switched it back on minutes later.
