About 30 years ago I first moved to the Coachella Valley from Memphis. We would be outside, and everyone around us was dying from the heat (it was in August...) and my wife and I looked at each other and said, "Yes, it is warm, isn't it." It was 118F, but felt like about 78 in Memphis!
