I have Windows7 home basic SP1 in my laptop.But my task manager is not working properly i.e it doesn't display running programs ,apps etc. It just display my username.Tell me how can I get rid of this problem????
Might be an access rights problem. Are you logged in an administrator account ?

Yes!It shows me logged in the administrator account.
Yes "jurb" It shows me logged in the administrator account. Still Don't show my Running Programes.
In that case it sounds like a virus or something. Alot of them interfere with that, or restore points.
If you try to restore it to an earlier date and it says it can't find any restore points, that is also an indication of some sort of infection.
