OT: "Western Culture Has Died a Politically-Correct Death" (2023 Update)

That could only be true if Hillary Clinton was responsible for the Arab Spring. She wasn't. Lots of things had been going wrong in the Arab world for a while before the Arab Spring, and Hillary Clinton wouldn't have had any control over any of them.

The famous interview in which she is claimed to have laughed and gloated didn't strike me that way.

My impression was that she was pretty unhappy with what had happened to Gaddafi, and had to improvise a response on the spur of the moment. She wasn't so much laughing as grimacing.

Sadly, Cursiotr Doom is the f****it who is biting the dust - and spitting it out by kill-filing the author of the obviously accurate characterisation.

Cursitor Doom is silly enough to think that if he doesn't read comments about his personality defects he doesn't need to do anything about them, which is one more personality defect.

You're always wrong, AlwaysWrong. Why bother answering irrelevant questions, which you wouldn't understand anyway.

Always.Wrong.

Childish, immature, Keith Williams.

The truth is that you're always wrong, AlwaysWrong.

Krw's idea of "the truth" is what everybody else would call krw's particular set of delusions.

He suffers from solipism, and lacks the perspective to realise it.

Very. Without thinking I set his filter for another 6 months and can't change it now. Should have been a perma-plonk case for sure. Still, there's always next time.

That does seem to be Cursitor Doom's default setting.

Maybe Cursitor Doom will have worked out how to turn his brain back on by then.

It wouldn't like what it would find when it started error-checking, and would presumably turn itself off again to minimise the anguish.

Worse still, it sent the message the if you turn over WMDs, give up nuke programs, allow inspections, do what the US asks, then we stick a knife in your back, kill you and gloat about it. NK and Iran sure took notice. "

You don't say.

Of course others will ask how anyone else in the world could possibly have an opinion.

Trust NT to fail to understand what the message was - it wasn't "be well-be haved" but rather "don't be dangerous".

Gaddafi didn't prove he wasn't dangerous by turning over his weapons of mas s destruction and stopping his nuclear weapons programs - he proved it by a dmitting international inspectors who could see that he'd done all of what he had said he had done.

Once he started committing crimes-against-humanity atrocities in an effort to intimidate his rebellious population he became dangerous in a different kind of way, and got made less dangerous by jets that flew overhead and sho t up his convoys whenever they started moving out to terrorise a few more p eople.

North Korea and Iran probably have understood that message, even if NT can' t.
