McCain, whatever his war hero status, spent too much time in Washington and became another swamp creature.
A life in politics does that to people. Power corrupts.

Not exactly; he took a principled stance against W on the torture issue, and that's an outside-the-swamp act. His was an independent voice more than once.
McConnell's intention to be led by the suspect in the trial, is a corrupt example of faillure of the coequal separate powers of the executive and legislative branch. He's the swamp critter of our day.

He started his corrupt career at the Hanoi Hilton. A typical Military brat who's parent's name kept them from being arrested.
