I forget what exactly I was looking for on the web, but I saw some interesting links which eventually led to this one: "Royal Navy completes Windows for Submarines(TM) rollout" =:-O

Now, is this for real? Does this "The Register" have any credibility, or are these gag stories?
'cause Windows on a Submarine is beyond nuts - it's tantamount to mass murder!
Excellent! Just gets better. I hope BAE included in the installation requirements the setting up of a table tennis table and video machine for the on board support IT support Guy's, cause where there going, there going to have trouble contacting India for microsofts registration and help line.

Whot doo youooo expect from a country that lost Vietnam and cannot even explain why they fight in Afghanistan?
Today I did read that the Chinese have adopted a new OS for their mil, it seems to be a Free BSD derivative named 'Kylin OS'. Just so foreign intelligence has a bit harder time. I do believe in security by obscurity, because it helps.
Those politicians who were bought by MS money to install their crap.... write to them... And even MS wants to borrow cash these days... Crumbling down the capitalist system?
The Aegis missile cruiser, USS Yorktown, experienced some software glitches with its new PC systems running Windows NT last year. To be exact, the U.S. Navy had to tow the ship back to port.
The ship was part of a pilot program to install PCs to reduce manpower, maintenance and costs. However last September, after some "bad data" was fed into the system, the ship was crippled during maneuvers because of massive system failures.
According to Government Computer News, a database overflow caused the ship?s propulsion system to fail. "We are putting equipment in the engine room that we cannot maintain and, when it fails, results in a critical failure," said Anthony DiGiorgio, a civilian engineer with the Atlantic Fleet Technical Support Center in Norfolk.
I'm pretty sure I recently saw a data collection system with Windows for sub installation. This is a brand new system to update old or nonexistant systems.
Bomb shelter reminds me of my former house across the street from the first home bomb shelter in America built in the late 50's. It really was just a fallout shelter but was a very interesting thing, along with the overall house construction. It was also interesting the guy drew a HBO half hour show in his basement. It was an animation made from those clear sheets. And, then, lightning hit his outside antenna starting a fire down there. He had to redraw a number of plates. The house had a steel roof.
Crumbling down the Socialist system. The Free Market is the ONE thing that could pull us out of this crap forthwith. Oh, and fire or kill all of the bureaucrats, so the Free Market CAN work.
Haven't you noticed? Already, the more they dump into the socialistic "bailout" scheme, the worse things get.

Well, it does not even look nice. I have seen somebody present food in a nice looking way...... Just a bit of gold color does not do it. And 5 gram, a bit heavy on the stomach, but your purse would be that much lighter :-)

Well - all we are doing with all our e$$$pensive military might is to kill peasants that cannot retaliate in places where tee-vee crews do not travel. The Navy are poofs anyway!
I had a friend who served on missile subs, the boomers. They'd be out for months at a time. If anybody was found with, say, a muscle magazine or anything else faintly suspicious, that would be their last cruise. Very anti-poof, they were.
