OT Tesla kills it's passengers on Easy St and firemen DON'T KNOW how to put the fire out!

The Tesla connectivity isn't for your phone. It's just for the car; maps, streaming music, software... oh, there is a browser, but it truly sucks donkey dongs, i.e. barely works and doesn't allow music or video. I wouldn't mind having a hotspot in the car if I did more driving and I don't think their prices are high, cheaper than any cell phone data plan I've found. Any idea who provides service to OnStar?

Tesla cult-ism is weird, all the commenters in this thread who probably demand Musk sue anyone who ever says anything bad about the company. Any negative press is always written by "shills" or someone trying to make the great Muskini look bad (though he tends to regularly do this very well on his own)

"The idiots at CR are so hurt by technology they can't understand it's pathetic. I can't wait for people to go out and replicate this stunt and get hurt - then sue CRfor posting their "instructional video" and have CR plead that they 'told people not to do this' and that lets THEM off the hook for what determined idiots do."

Whole site is a cult site. These people would normally be in mental institutions if they didn't own a Tesla. Actually a lot of them probably don't. Hey granpa - if CR could figure out how to do this any teenager whose older relatives always go to them to fix their printer because they're the "computer whiz" of the family could figure out how to do it, also.

Like most things, the reports of Tesla cultism are greatly exaggerated. Teslamotorsclub is very intolerant of Tesla criticism. I was once banned because I said the stock was over hyped. I still think it is far above any real value. It won't be worth its current price until perhaps 2025. The cars have some issues and the company has many more. I think the vast majority of owners think of their cars as cars and simply enjoy them.

Of course a web site like Teslarati is going to be pro Tesla. What you quoted was a comment to the article. That's like quoting mad Phil A. from a post in Google groups and claiming it shows how insane Google is.

Have you EVER considered that it just might be YOU that is "full of s*it?"

Odd that Flyguy asks this question of somebody else ...

Hey SL0WMAN, have YOU ever considered that it just might be YOU that is "full of s*it?" Obviously not because that requires insightful thought, something you haven't exhibited here.

More or less non-stop.

Flyguy imagines that he could recognise insightful thought if it were posted here. He hasn't yet, and it seems unlikely that he ever will.

He does recognse it to some extent - he can't make sense of it and he says rude things about it - but he says rude things about lots of stuff that he doesn't agree with, and it's probably lumped in with all other stuff that he doesn't understand, doesn't like and would like even less if he understood it better.

<snip>

Not exactly. You don't like stuff I've posted about you, but that doesn't make it any of it lies, much as you would like this to be true.

You are a complete idiot, and this point does seem to have escaped you.

You can point out what you think are lies to your heart's content. I can point out that they rational conclusions drawn from what you have posted, but since you can't draw rational conclusions this doesn't get through to you.

You do seem to want to think so. I just think that he's just one more symptom of the complete collapse of the Republican party, which isn't any kind of racial issue.

Sadly, you are an idiot - somebody who is dumber than 95% of the rest of the population, back when the term had medical significance.

It may sound like immature and childish abuse to you, but it happens to be a considered appraisal of your intellectual performance, which is dire. You are much too dim to understand the distinction. which will come across to you as more childish abuse. Pity about that.

Sorry, Dan, I read this newsgroup and you don't speak for me.

I did not express myself well. I meant to say that flyguy did not need to respond to Sloman. Everyone can read Slomans posts and come to their own opinion. And in my opinion Sloman does not act in a civil manner.

Dan

You mean like 90% of the posts here?

This is a mean group. People in other groups and other forums are not at all like the people here, or I should say the general tone here is not like elsewhere. You can't blame that on Bill. Yeah, he takes a perverse pleasure at cutting down the complete morons and he loves to take digs at Larkin... in essence lots of troll behavior. That does not set the tone here. It is all the responses in kind that establish the ambiance. If this were another group, people most likely would simply ignore most of what he posts. Likewise 90% of what Phil Allison posts would be ignored. Hell, it's hard to even read what he posts through the profanity.

But this isn't some other group or forum. This is S.E.D! Argument is a well established tradition. I don't mean argument in the sense of debating a point or technical issue. I mean back alley, broken bottle, ear biting, blood attack type arguments. Complaining about Bill being "uncivil" should get you laughed out of the group like griping that someone's grandmother hit you with a rolled up newspaper. Yeah, I knooow. Those paper cuts can huuurt!

You never do.

By which he means that I don't suffer fools like him gladly. That's not actually uncivilised. Civilisation depends on people presenting useful and correct information, and people who present misleading nonsense need to made aware that their opinions are dangerous and misleading. Dan gets more of that than he likes, and seems incapable of improving the quality of information he presents. He's not as bad as Flyguy, but he's still a waste of bandwidth.

<snip>

Flyguy hasn't got there yet, and he's envious. I've got beyond that, but he's not equipped to recognise higher-level performance.

How can anybody "dominate" a thread?

It should, but the other party has to be bright enough to understand the are argument before they can recognise it's superiority. Pointing out where they've missed does involve putting them down.

You hammer away at denying your idiocy more or less non-stop, which is pretty tedious, and your only variation is re-posting Trump's less plausible election propaganda, which is even more tedious. Jeering at you is pretty tedious, but I do try to introduce some variation.

Still better university, higher IQ and more money. And way less time unemployed.

Dan

And a rather tedious habit of reminding us that he thinks that some of this might reflects well on him even if it were true.

Bill Sloman, Sydney

And a rather tedious habit of reminding us that he thinks that some of this might make us think better of him, if it were true.

He clearly feels himself to be a superior person, though the evidence he presents isn't all that persuasive.

Bill Sloman, Sydney

You have to be pretty insecure to repeatedly post such boasting. I wonder what you might be insecure about exactly?

Initial reports about this were all wrong.

The owner didn't understand the technology, he had no autopilot on that road, it was non-Autosteer-able. It's important to be able to steer vehicles in motion.

What in that report makes you conclude the owner did not "understand" the technology?

" Which was coming it strong yet I state but the facts " Dan
