OT: online google archive

I understand that Google has something like snapshots of the internet made at various times. This would mean that articles that have been banned, buried, or ignored would still be available. What is the basic URL for that?

Pages stay in cold storage for 6 months.

I looked for several pages recently and archiving activity for 2008 and later seemed dormant.

Haven't looked yet; heard a claim that there were archives going back

10 years or more.

Yup. They're often pretty impressive.

Glad it worked for you. Tried about 6 different URLs and got nothing. Dumping the bookmark.

What were the URLs you tried?

.

The Gerber Top Layer button failed on that page.

Often the main page archives but sub pages fail.

On some pages that have been maintained continuously for many years with changing sub pages, often the sub pages are not archived for many dates.

I ran across one like that where no matter what date version you picked on the Wayback machine, the sub-pages were all from one date.

Was a nice idea once.
