OT: Government regulations are Driving US into the Poorhouse!

IBD quoted a recent study that federal regulations are costing every worker 15k$ a year. In other words, millions of people who would be making 35k a year, are now on the poverty line. This snowballs, as many of these people sign up for assistance, requiring yet more unproductive spending.

And I didn't mention the effect of regulations on US businesses. Many just move off-shore. For example, our vitamins are made in China. Regulations in the US have made it impossible to make here, so they are made in China in fertilizer machines with no regulation whatever. So the real cost to a working person could be double the 15k. And what about retirees sitting on nest eggs? I imagine those will suffer too.

Keep tuned...

When the government seizes their nest eggs (lefties are already planning the theft), sure, they'll suffer.

Maybe but if they're sold here they come under jurisdiction of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994.

"FDA is responsible for taking action against any adulterated or misbranded dietary supplement product after it reaches the market."

If the FDA is not doing its job then it's because of people like you complaining about too much of the wrong kind of spending.

Ha Ha Yeah - the government could do a great job, if I'd only get out of the way and let them get something done. Sheesh, I never thought about that... I am the guy who also sends the companies overseas - I feel powerful, Fred. Never knew it was all my fault - escaped my attention completely...

ry Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. "

Frm what I've read that has little or nothing to do with it. It has to do w ith some byproducts, waste that is. Handling the waste is exceedingly expen sive, I think it's because on of the things in it is "Know to the state of Califoria to be a carcinogen" or some shit like that.

OIf course the end result is we get supplements with no oversight oin the m anufactuiring process.

Thisis what happens when you live in a society that gets richer when people get sicker.

Par for the course, you get paid more to play than to work, and more to sel l than to produce.

They recently shut down nearly 200 pharmaceuticals in India because of seri ously flawed manufacturing practices. They say over 40% of the cheap generi cs sold in this country are coming from India, and now we know why they're so cheap. This was long overdue, like 20 years overdue. Some of the drugs/m edications contained 0% active ingredient- that's one way to cut cost.

They do not want to do that bcause their friends make money the way it is.

Of course, otherwise it would never have gotten this way.

Of course also, if people refuased to buy certain things it would tell them. But people went for the lowest price. They paid $249.95 for the Sanyo instead of $269.95 for the Zenith and that TOLD industry what to do.

The consumer spoke with a voince as loud as a lobbyist because that is where the money came from in the first. place.
