Seems every office chair comes with hard caster wheels which are meant for carpet or other soft surfaces. Nobody ever mentions you need soft tread caster wheels for hard floors. But when you do figure it out, a set of 5 casters costs nearly as much as a complete chair!
Staples "multi function" chair, 80$ on special Set of soft casters in the same store, 45$
So really, the chair is 125$ if you have a hard floor. And who doesn't have a hardwood floor these days? There's no carpet anymore in condos, and certainly not in an electronics lab...
So what's up with that? What kind of casters are on your office chair?
