Looking for Epson (circa 1988) LCD Display Datasheet.

Mar 03, 2006 1 Replies

Hello.. I have an Epson display that came from an old electronic 'widget' that I would like to use in a home project. This would be a 1987 vintage display and the number as shown on the back is: EG-Y84320AT

Does anyone have an old databook showing this device? Any help would be appreciated...

It would have been better if you had supplied some more info. Is it a character or a graphic type LCD? Display size? Connector type? Picture?

If you cannot locate a data sheet for the LCD itself, you can always look on the chips on the LCDs PCB. You can locate the controller chip, or, in case there isn't any, the LCD driver chips. Then get the datasheets for these chips. Then use an ohmmeter to check what is connected where.
