I have to use a lot of TFT LCDs like this:
I would prefer to use an automatic process to solder the flat cable, but the manufacturer said it is for manual soldering!!
Is it true? Isn't there an automatic procedure to solder and mount this display?

Exactly. It is meant for a connector insertion, so find the matching connector and solder that onto the location and then the cable gets inserted into that and an additional plus is that the unit becomes fully serviceable/swappable as a result without further soldering.
IF insisting on soldering it, "hook up wire" (SPC variety) is what to use and a very fine point iron like a Metcal and momentary contact for each solder joint and the second end already soldered in place too. Very short leads as well. very precarious method choice.

It's a 37-pins flat cable. It isn't impossible to find a suitable matching connector among FFC/FPC connectors. Pay attention to the mechanical dimension (there is some space between the edges of the cable and the first external pins).
Most of the time this TFT module is mounted on the PCD with the flat cable curved under the module, on the same side of the PCB.
In this case, even if it was available a matching connector, it would be impossible to have free space for it.

I'm not going to do your job (if you don't pay me). The cable is standard, ergo you'll find a matching connector. Ask the panel maker for advice if you are too lazy to search.

That cable is *not* standard for use with a connector, this is what the panel maker said. It seems it must be soldered directly on the PCB (manually or by hot bar).
However I tried to find a suitable standard connector, but the FFC/FPC connectors on the market *are* different.
