China had enough sense to get the message about full central control of the economy, but their political system has much the same faults as the USSR's system had, so it is likely that they will end up with politicians making, and enforcing, bad decisions about their economy. They may have enough sense to notice when this starts creating problems. We can only hope, but it does make them less of a threat than idiots like Cursitor Doom like to imagine.

Cursitor Doom: do that right thing and hand yourself in to Interpol. You may not know how you've broken the law - you do go in for a lot of self-delusion - but they will be able to sort you out.
