Help! Windows disaster

Does your PC have an "administrator" account? (You didn't say which version of Doze you're using). The administrator can open anything; it shouldn't be too hard to track down where the stuff is stored - log on as the other user, and see where its default "save to" and its default address book and stuff are, then, as administrator, go to the corresponding subdirectory for the user that has the broken OE, and retrieve your stuff.

You could also uninstall OE, purge the registry, and reinstall OE, as long as uninstallng it doesn't erase all the files you want to keep. =:-O

You can find the folders. Open OE with your other account, and notice where it keeps all that stuff, like try a "save as" and look at what the default directory is.

Then, take that path, and change it to the path that the user with the broken OE would use, and go look there. You might even have an "import" facility, depending on if testuser can access Richard's data. You might have to log in as administrator to do that.
