While it is true that some people would call that perjury, none of those people would be judges or lawyers. Clinton lied under oath about something that was not germane to the issue at hand. This is not perjury.

Not one of those were before the person entered jail and exhausted the court. Not one was part of an ongoing criminal matter.

Who says the Clintons don't claim that? There are going to be hearings over whether or not there was a Quid Pro Quo for the Libby defence folding up. They did not put on the vigorous defence that the opening statement suggested they would. Why was that? Did they get a deal?

Obviously, but what I've described covers about half of what we spend money on. If we do our part to avoid the avoidable, then there's lots more left for helping the truly unavoidable.

Everything that causes you to owe a tax involves a free choice you have made and the use of a service of the government.

Government ownership of everything is communism, which was the boogeyman that we invested so much blood and treasure fighting against for all of the cold war. Libby was not pardoned; his prison term was commuted. Even if he did lie to agents in an FBI interview, the interview was about a non-crime (nobody was ever charged for outing Plame, who was a publicity hound herself) so the usual legal treatment would be to ignore the presumed lies because they are moot. Really.

He should have said what the Clintons love to say: "I can't recall."

That reminds me, for all the screaming that Republicans did to get a balanced budget during Clinton's terms; they were sure quick to do deficit spending once they got in office.

I had to see the VA dietitian. She wanted to know who prepared the diet I was on. She told me that I was a little low on carbs and to add a half cup of orange juice to it. She was surprised that I had done so much detail work in advance, and even more when I told her that the individual meals and portions were all my work. Even though I had been on about the same diet most of my adult life it didn't stop me from becoming diabetic and developing high blood pressure, which are common in both sides of my parent's family trees.

I've had bad diet advice from several doctors. One declared me "Grossly obese" and demanded that I go on an 1100 calorie a day diet. I was so sick five days later that I couldn't get out of bed. Another told me, "Don't eat anything white"? I had already reduced my diet from

I was born sick, and have suffered with low level infections for most of my 54 years. The doctors refused to remove my tonsils till I was eight years old, because my health was so bad. I recently had oral surgery to remove another infected tooth. No one would cut it out until the crown crumbed, exposing that the interior was gone. It had been infected for a little over eight YEARS, but no one would listen to me. As soon as it was out, I started to lose weight, which happens every time one is cut out. This is the fifth round, since 1972, yet no one listens when I tell them that its an ongoing problem.

It didn't do a damn thing for me.
