For Californicators

well if you're implying they're all crooks and they won't follow the rules, it really doesn't matter what system you use.

i'm talking about closing the loop holes and write-offs, just get rid of all that stuff ... simply declare income and write your % check.

i know this gets tougher when trying to nail down the cost of doing business ... but standard exclusions for reasonable amounts could be developed based on historical data. offshore tax store fronts will go the way of buggy whips.

It's not that one is sucked out of the ground somewhere else, rather that it is sucked from the future, with interest. If the carrot is divided equally, there will be no carrot tomorrow and everyone starves (see: Plymouth Colony).

If the same-old Republican leadership takes over, that's quite likely. If the "new guys" (incl. Ryan and crew) get their way, then not so much.

Ones that are extra-constitutional, obviously. Start with DOE (both of them).

Just proves that God is anti-communist. I don't know why anyone would think otherwise, though. ;-)

Bullshit yourself. Look it up.

Why?

Fine, if you exempt corporations. But then everybody would incorporate to avoid taxes. Which leads us back to sales tax.

They only contribute "their share" if they have jobs and incomes. We need jobs, and our tax structure exports them to China.

The Banking Act of 1933 stopped unbridled capitalism. (Glass?Steagall Act )

The repeal of the Glass?Steagall Act of 1933 effectively removed the separation that previously existed between Wall Street investment banks and depository banks and has been blamed by some for exacerbating the damage caused by the collapse of the subprime mortgage market that led to the Financial crisis of 2007?2010.

You may be right that capitalism is not the problem.

But, unbridled greed without controls, will bring another melt down.

How would you control the greed that un-regulated greed (capitalism) would bring.

" No, you idiot! That's the socialist philosophy. Capitalists _pay_ their bills, rather than having the Gubmint rob their neighbors."

Poor Capitalists don't pay their bills when they go broke. They just collect welfare, SS, medicare, food stamps, and the rest like other poor people.

Do you really think that anyone ever said it was a sin to desire or want anything? Jesus was a carpenter - he needed a hammer. He got a hammer. By your logic it is a sin to take a drink of water because one must first desire or want water. food , water, an animal for milk, clothes....Come on.

You really set up some strange strawmen that you then bash down. No wonder you don't like Christianity, you have some really crazy ideas about what it is.

The moral of the carrot story is that wealth is created and that the economy is not a zero sum game.

I always wanted a Corvette when I was a kid, but I didn't want to steal it from anyone else. I just wanted one like the ones I saw driving around. Never did get one, and now it's a silly idea.

The story of communism is that wealth was created faster than it was under serfdom, but not as fast as under capitalism.

Trying to convince engineers that the world is not zero sum is quite the task.

I always figured the way to get to drive a Corvette was to rent one for a weekend. They you'd been there, done that and didn't have to worry about the rest that goes with it.

You=92re still thinking current system.

If you really want to fix todays system, remove the ability for a taxpayer to gain any benefit from incorporation or sole proprietorship. Use past history to establish a =93fixed cost=94 of business data base and apply that. This is the most difficult part of the task but it could be done if there was any real desire to fix the current system.

But you=92re correct the current system is setup for business owners to take advantage of the liability rules. But us little guys still pay out the nose. No off shore shoe box for me!

Why? All you have to do is look around and see that there is more "stuff" than there was when we were kids. Even "poor" people have "stuff" that we couldn't even dream of.

How true ...

Ever notice how people who can't afford their rent have the most expensive electronic crap? I really hate it when i get these sob stories from renters that claim they're running short because they had a 250 cell bill!

WTF! See why I want to tie intellect to citizenship or at least voting. I just cringe when I consider that some these guys are allowed to vote!

No matter how you slice it, every tax ultimately comes out of the pocket of some working stiff.

All that double-talk about "standard exclusions" and crap is loopholes.

Just impose a 10% purchase tax. Buy a $3,000,000 boat, pay $300,000 tax, period. Buy little Tiffany a $100,000 diamond necklace, pay $10,000 tax, and so on.

Buy a $6,000 suit, pay $600.00 tax, Buy a $60.00 suit, pay six bucks.

What could be more fair?

After all, what's the purpose of making money anyway? TO SPEND IT!!!! Make them pay their "fair share" when they buy stuff, and they won't have all those mumbo jumbo gobbledy-gook loopholes - everybody pays 10% of what they spend, period.

Of coursae, the unionists, socialists, lobbyists, czars, and other unelected bureaucrats will fight tooth and nail against such a thing, which is essentially a sure sign that it's the Right Thing To Do.

Hope This Helps! Rich

Is this how you rationalize the mass murder you call "war?"

Thanks, Rich
