dtv.bsat.net - Any complaints?

Jun 13, 2008 2 Replies

I ordered a couple of boxes from Bsat on 5/28/08 but didn't get any email confirmation. I started wondering about it a couple of weeks later and lukily found the confirmation in my browser cache. I've requested information via the web form on their site and left a voice mail on their system - nobody seems to answer that number. Still nothing. They went ahead and charged my credit card, so I suspect they also submitted the necessary information to NTIA to get reimbursed for my two coupons.

This is beginning to look like a scam. I tried their main business number too, same thing - nobody home. I live a half hour from their offices, so I guess that's the next step. I already tried contacting the converter box people but they don't answer either.

So... my coupons expire on 7/708. Probably doesn't matter since BSAT most likely cashed them in. This looks like a big boondoggle to me.

Anyone else care to chime in?

1) This doesn't have anything to do with electronic design. 2) This belongs in misc.consumers

or in a group about consumer TV equipment. (You've already multi-posted it to alt.tv.tech.hdtv.) 3) DON'T MULTI-POST.

Sorry for posting to the wrong forum. I would also like to note that the vendor did ship the product. I also received a call from the owner expressing his regret for a bumpy rollout of their web portal. They appear to be an upright company after all.
