How can I. I don't even know where you went! All I know is that I bought this very nice laptop, a docking station, and a 20" LCD monitor with a few bucks of my patent money earlier this year. I've since more than doubled that take. Maybe you've invented the wrong things, or are being paid by the wrong people? (...most likely the Latter since my ideas aren't so grand either ;-).

So the information contained in the application does not really matter as long as you get a 21" monitor.....

Who pays for the extra inch?

The question is not IF patents will eventually do you in, but WHEN. Assuming your present claim is not a bald face lie.

Give the patent system time. It will eventually chew you up and spit you out in tiny little pieces.

Only one issued this year and that was quite unexpected. I should have split the lawyer's money on this one since he lifted 90% of my words and only threw in a few "whereas" and "party of the first part" stuff.

I had six or seven filed, which is where the money is. ;-)

Oh, a much better plan than that. It was part of my employment. Write the ideas up and wait for the money to roll in. No risk, no expense, and very little work. ;-) OTOH, the "Man" owns my every thought.

Claim, as in making money? I made about $7K in '06. ..or Claim as in patent claims? No lies here.

Not a chance. Someone would have to have a bigger shark. ;-)
