I'll call you Friday, been busy. Dental emergency with mom. And long hours at work. The last major Hurricane was 1938 ;) So I would say your safe. Hurricanes are unpredictable so this could be all hype, especially since they are showing the track that goes thru NY city. Everyone is planning for the worst case of the eye coming ashore in NJ/Manhattan.
Your pretty much inland, we never had flooding in the area. The Republic airport runways are 60 - 80 ft above sea level. If anything there would be wind damage from falling trees. But it is tuff to say, the storm could just break apart once it hits land and the colder water up here doesn't encourage convection like the gulf stream does. We are going to get a tropical storm if that?s the case. And it will skuttle up the east cost an be gone in no time.
But you never know.
Cheers
