Dear "Slacker-on-the-cusp",
Several obvious-seeming thoughts spring to mind:
a) Unless you're the only student, you're all facing the same "way too much to learn". So, unless they might fail ALL of you, you'll probably all, as a group, average about average, which should work out OK for you, unless you learn significantly less than the average student there.
b) In cases like this, it seems like it's usually a bad waste of time, to try to find "quick and easy" ways to avoid truly-massive amounts of work. The time is probably much better-spent on actually attempting to DO the work. (And do remember to try very hard to not get behind!)
c) What do they call the person who graduates at the BOTTOM of their class, in medical school....?? Doctor!
d) Of course, the OBVIOUS (I hope!) reason to DO the work, absolutely as well as possible, plus as much extra as possible, is to become the best damn doctor you possibly can! At the very least, it might help avoid unpleasantness all around, at certain points in time in your future career. It should be easy to imagine how some small bit of information that you might learn, now, IFF you work very, very hard, might later mean the difference between, say, saving the life of some darling four-year-old girl, OR, instead, if you were a slacker in med school........ (gasp! horrors!).
Oh well, you get the picture. (Don't you? Do well now =3D possible hero to thousands and a good and satisfying life. Be a slacker now =3D one disaster after another and a horrid life. SEEMS like an easy choice...)
You either want to be a doctor or not. So you either cram all of that stuff into your head or not. (And maybe your attitude will improve, too. But you'll at least thank yourself, later, if you do well, now.)
Maybe try low doses of Ritalin. Perhaps you're afflicted with A.D.D. At any rate, it should improve your memory functions, et al. Heheh.
And quit acting like such a baby. Becoming a doctor is difficult. But it's been done, often. So it can be done again. If not by you, others will gladly step on your head to take your place.
You're damn lucky to even have the OPPORTUNITY to be ALLOWED the CHANCE to learn what you seem to be wishing you could avoid. Sheesh! Get to it, man!
