Success depends on more than just education and no one said prosperity was a linear function.
None of which has anything to do with an allegedly 'scholarly' study making grade school mistakes, the prevention of which one imagine's is the 'purpose' of 'learning'.
My point is merely that an assumption is being made (here) that the distribution of test scores is precisely Gaussian.
