Can anyone identify this 860MHz transceiver IC ?

As per the subject heading, I'm hoping that someone in this NG may be able to identify the manufacturer of the small IC shown in the following picture:-

. It is a low-power (probably FSK) transmitter/receiver IC used in an alarm system operating in the 860MHz band and I'd like to be able to find a data sheet to tell me more about it. I've already done some Google searching but without any luck so far - I'm now hoping that the coding of the IC is not a special 'house' number.

TIA,

- Dave.

In the USA, you could use the FCC ID to trace the manufacture.

Is there a similar dept in the UK ??

Try Silicon Labs. They have a transceiver with a 5100 number.

Good find, Martin. The Silicon Labs chip I posted is not what he needs.

It's actually Infineon Technologies. Has the right package , number of pins and function. But the website is short on part marking information.

Not your problem.

Many thanks for all of the contributions.

After tracing some of the tracks to the 16 pins I can confirm that it definitely IS the Infineon TDA5100.

I originally thought it was a transCEIVER but I can see that it is now just a transmitter. Sorry for confusing anyone.

Thanks again.
