I wonder, if the driver hadn't swerved a little if they would be alive today.
It proves that driving on the left is safer.

The simple solution being: drive on left when going one direction and drive on right when going the other :-)

He swerved AND got half ton debris shove too. Look closely. He would surely have been damaged worse had he not began to drift away (swerved). And he (the car) might have actually eaten the big rock too.
Now think about the one that is going to hit the planet next.
We'll need to be making HIM (the rock) do the swerving..
