Anyone seen 'Fred Bloggs' recently?

As per the title, he seems to have disappeared from s.e.d. Google shows his last post here (or anywhere?) was on the 1st December.

Doesn't a dose that size need a permit from the EPA?

Still, under even the most vehement brand of radical Christianity,
I don\'t believe you can be put to death for being a non-Christian

That should make the choice somewhat easier, no?

I am still around thanks but my schedule has changed so that it's either SED or met/con ( metabolic conditioning ) workouts. I have chosen to do met/con's, they are much more constructive:-) My one mile run is approaching 5:00 mins, and work capacity, strength, strength endurance, speed, balance, accuracy etc... are markedly improved over the four months in this program, and already at "Advanced Athlete" status as determined by performance in 36 different events encompassing weightlifting, runs, rope climbs, ring stuff like ring push-ups, muscle-ups, dips, one mile sandbag carry @ 1.2BW, some handstand walks, rowing, and endurance routines...It's pretty good fun.

Lemme see- in July I could not run 5K continuously. My new time is 19:30:-)

Was that you with the 32 minute time for the 5K back in July?

Congratulations on your physical training. Sounds very good.

If I was smarter, I would follow your example. But I'm not.

Not bad- & a nice improvement. Last time I tried I was almost double that.

How many hours per week do you do the workouts?

The most popular workout schedule is 3 days on/ 1 day off, and, because the workouts are high intensity, the duration is typically on the order of 20 minutes. I hardly run long distance at all, most of the runs are

400-800m sprints, and these are interleaved with a bodyweight calisthenics or weightlifting movement(s) with no rest allowed. The 5K and 10K runs are prescribed as infrequently as maybe once every 30-45 days. The workouts are randomized to prevent something called "specific adaptation" wherein the overload effect, and thus fitness improvement stimulation, is attenuated. Here is an example workout, broken into 5 rounds, to be performed in the fastest time possible, no rest allowed within the round:
  1. 400m sprint
55lb kettlebell swing x 21 pull-ups x 12 rest 45 sec
  1. 400m sprint
55lb kettlebell swing x 21 pull-ups x 12 rest 1:00 min
  1. 400m sprint
55lb kettlebell swing x 21 pull-ups x 12 rest 1:15 min
  1. 400m sprint
55lb kettlebell swing x 21 pull-ups x 12 rest 1:30 min
  1. 400m sprint
55lb kettlebell swing x 21 pull-ups x 12 finished

Here is another one:

5 rounds performed for time: 400m sprint 225 lb dead lift x12

And another, fastest time possible: pull-ups x50

400m sprint 95 lb thruster x 21 800m sprint 95 lb thruster x 21 400m sprint pull-ups x 50

A thruster is sort of like a front squat except you thrust the barbell overhead to arms locked position in the full upright position, then lower back down into deep front squat position with bar on the shoulders and repeat...
