Anyone here know how an one-armed bandit (slot machine) works?

The actual return to the casino is usually much higher than the true RPT odds.

Because of bankrupt players giving up, or of players in other games using stupid strategies.

Players re-playing their winnings is a very significant factor, probably the most significat factor. By re-playing your winnings you're effectivley putting your initial stake through several times, which improves the overall odds for the house each time. The odds of the player coming out ahead when replaying their winnings approaches zero.

On average:

Play $100 and 'win' $90 - house is up $10. Play that $90 and 'win' $81 - house is up $19. Play that $81 and 'win' $73 - house is up $27. Play that $73 and 'win' $66 - house is up $34.

etc. etc.

If you keep replaying your winnings the only question is how long your cash lasts. Quit while you're ahead.

It is very simple. Player put winnings back in. The payout percentage claimed by casinos in not just slot machines, but in every respect, is bogus.

Anyone can manipulate data to support their published statistic.
