Voltage Regulator

Hi, all. Just wondering whether any of you guys could help me source a low voltage drop down regulator part No. KA78R8. It's pretty hard to find in my area. I can buy a handful...so to speak. I have been searching for this baby for a long time..

Firstly, we don't know what area you are in so that info would be useful. It also helps to put the complete part number in your request ie. KA78R08.

At a guess you are in Sth. Africa?

Fairchild make the KA78R08

His name? :) And possibly a traceroute to the NNTP posting host using a program that plots nodes on a map.

If you look at the full headers you will see that he is posting from

66.36.212.249 Enter that into a Whois lookup like DNSSTUFF and you'll get a report:

I'd have gone for Zambia straight off.

NNTP-Posting-Host: 66.36.212.249 (from his headers )

Intelsat GlobalConnex Solutions (GXS) INTELSAT-ISP (NET-66-36-192-0-1) 66.36.192.0 - 66.36.223.255 Zambia Telecommunications Company Ltd. INTELSAT-CUST-ZAMTEL-ZM (NET-66-36-212-0-1) 66.36.212.0 - 66.36.215.255

From a WHOIS

Africa???

(NET-66-36-192-0-1)

As Michael Terrell said, I used WHOis to find the NNTP host and it said domain was .za, which is Sth africa - in the same way as .au is Australia and .de is for Germany etc.
