Small Footprint Micro-USB

The Micro-USB is based on Silicon Laboratories CP2101-CP2102 I.C.'s, and has the world's smallest footprint for this type of device. It uses a standard USB B connector to connect to your PC using a standard AM to BM cable, and an 8 pin footprint at .1" centers on your target board, to allow simple connect to your breadboard or Micro board. The CP210x chip has a UART, and on-board EEPROM built right it.
