Jim-out-of-touch-with-reality-Thompson hasn't noticed that California is bi gger than Mexico - at least in economic terms (though it's only got a quart er of the land area).
If California did became a nation, Mexico would probably be delighted to jo in the new nation. There might be other candidates as well - the United Sta tes of Central America could work rather well and might end up owning the P anama Canal. If it formalised the business of supplying the residue of the US with recreational chemicals, it could have a very sound economy.
Just think what that would do to the electoral count. Would they pay us to take the illegals from our side. After a few years that boarder would have more illegals crossing than the Mexican boarder.

He's right. They are terrible story-tellers, and while Trump's are more ter ribly implausible than most, Kurt Schlichter probably comes close.
Conservatives do specialise in telling one another the kind of nonsense tha t conservatives like to hear - Fox News has made a profitable business of i t, but they weren't the first.
Jim-out-of-touch-with-reality-Thompson is right in the middle of their targ et market. Not the faintest suspicion that his famous gullibility is being exploited.
I-25 could make a good base for the very large and very beautiful wall that would keep the very evil communist lefties out of the flyover country that defines true America.
The US government should take the California secession threat seriously. Co ngress should pass a law that if California votes for secession, the govern ment immediately freezes California defense contracts, university research grants and shuts down JPL, Sandia, Lawrence Livermore Labs, RAND etc until they repeal the vote for secession. It's a national security issue and Cali fornia should be warned.
True enough. But we both know it's not going to happen. Californica is full of fruits who think it could be, but it'll never be... simply because it would sink Californica into another state of Mexico.
Besides it would cause me to laugh myself to death >:-} ...Jim Thompson

What's Trump's America going to do after the only states that make any money eject, leaving only "red states" full of closed factories and majority white welfare recipients behind?
