I remember the brilliant stik-man-cartoon Spanish-tutor-book. Yo soy un hombre ....
So, for languages that are less phoenetic than Spanish, how would you setup a system, using eg. `scratch`, so that the children would program learn-to-read-ERS, for younger children?
Let's consider: the man sees a banana the boy eats a banana the woman calls the girl the girl approaches the woman ....
Currently `scratch/squeak` has got a 'CAT' image. Would it be trivially easy to add: man, boy, ...dog?
I remember, it has sound: beep. So, could the child-programmer record their own speech and syncronise it with the appearance of the words?
Will the teachers'-union appeal against this at UNO - you know?
What about 'foreign' languages? Are RPis sold in China? Can Russian, Japanese RPi-ers exchange 'tutors', so that I can then learn to read/speak Japanese?
