Raspberrypi.org down? Stuck? Updated?

For the last two days attempts to visit

formatting link
have redirected to ww1.raspberrypi.org and loaded a blank page. Well, not quite blank, there's a blue bar across the top. Nothing else.

I'm using a Pi3 running Raspbian Stretch to view the page, so it's hard to believe there's a compatibility issue.

Does anybody know what's going on?

Thanks for reading,

Either you mistyped or something funky is going on in your /etc/hosts file or your (or your isp's) dns, because

formatting link
is up & running and ww1.raspberrypi.org does not exist.

Works ok for me, albeit taking a long time to load. This is on a Pi3 with current Stretch Raspbian.

Are you sure you typed raspberrypi.org, and not raspberry.org? The last one gives a blue screen.

Else try typing the IP address in your browser: 93.93.128.230 or 93.93.130.214

From: ~ # host raspberrypi.org raspberrypi.org has address 93.93.128.230 raspberrypi.org has address 93.93.130.214

Ok, that's the clue. I typed raspberrpi.org, dropping the "y". Once it got into Chromium's autocomplete it stuck.

If I repeat the mistake now the hostname won't resolve, so it looks like somebody caught on to the redirection and fixed it.

I've noticed that typos tend to stick in autocomplete's dictionary, is there a way to selectively remove them? Most of the time they're useful, but it would be nice if mistakes could be weeded out.

Apologies for the dumb mistake, thanks for reading!

May depend on operating system and browser, but you can try this:

Start typing the wrong entry, hover the mouse pointer over the wrong entry so it turns blue, or use the cursor up down keys to the same effect, then press the delete key on your keyboard.

I've found that shift-delete works, at least in Chrom(e|ium).
