Yes it does.

It probably won't work in a web browser but it does work as an argument to "mpv", "cvlc" (command line VLC) and similar.

I haven't tested ALL the BBC ones against mpv, but the ones I have. worked.

I don't know what sort of functionality you're looking for but I use Minimserver running on a synology NAS coupled with a number of Pis running either;

MediaPlayer with mpd

or

Both are controlled by control points on Phone/Tablets. Both support both UPnP AND for me very importantly Open Home.

Media Player instructions are out of date but ask and you shall receive later notes. It functions very well.

RoPieee is plug and play. So easy to set up but you're locked out. It's free and 15 minutes to put together. The only functional snag is that the volume insists on being 100% at startup.

All the 320K BBC streams work fine and a host of others.

Oh. I rolled my own. It worked OK till the URLs changed. So its a revamp

Pi ZERO [2]Ws and hifiberry audio DACS. Feeding thwacking great stiudio amps and nice speakers.

Gets audio either from a ripped CD library or internet radio.

Web interface.

I didn't know about mpd, and that has enabled a huge improvement in radio station access so I will rewrite the web interface. and version

2.0 will be available in the new years...:-)

The backend daemon works fine, its the UI that was s*it and the ability to access radio stations.

Radio 4 extra has old plays and audio books. Radio 5 live has cricket.

Some of Radio 3 is worth listening to, and or the world service.

You cant do much propaganda with that. Although the wokesters did attack the cricket chaps.

Since you're listing, these ABC streams (no ads) are reachable from a VPS in the USA, so probably in the UK as well.
