TV - Non Constant White Screen. Sound Works as does PIP.

Ok so heres the deal

Early 90's Proscan TV.

About a week ago my TV started to display a solid white background with no retrace lines. The sound works fine along with all menus and tv features. Ex: I can change the channels and the channel number will pop up in the upper right hand corner in full color or the menu system will display in the spectrum of colors as intended. Sometimes the tv will lose the white screen and display the correct image, however this is rare. PIP works well and it displays 2 seperate images as they are meant to be displayed, however when PIP comes on the background turns from white to a medium gray. Im not really sure where to go with this one. Could it be the ABL?

TV White Screen(Mostly Constant). With Sound. PIP Works (2 Seperate images).

Yeah it does it with any input. Input 1 or 2. Any coax input or analog OTA.

Ok, in case you think they're all the same, I know it's going to be there on video 1/2 and tuner. If you have good video on Svideo, channel

90, then the comb filter is the problem. If it really is there on Svideo, then measure the G1 voltage on the crt, but if the pip screen shows up, that most likely isn't the issue. G1 should be roughly 18 to 22 volts dc.

Yeah, the Svideo(90) is also white. The PIP will be on svideo and the image will be black as required, and the background will still be on a channel playing correct sound on the gray background. Ill tear the belly of the beast open tonight and see what i can find.
