My cd player locked up and displayed 'F26' I unplugged it and got it going again , but what does this code mean??

F26 is " communications error between CD servo IC and CPU "
Could mean almost anything. It's not a code that I can ever remember seeing come up. May have been due to a random system screwup, but if it occurs again, with it being Technics ( Panasonic ) I would feel inclined to suspect bad joints on either of the two mentioned ICs.
