Specialised variant of telepohone/modem/keyboard IDC connector

Need to reuse, after someone yanked the wires out, it is a non standard form. Any tips for removing the little gold plated IDC prongs without destroying the outer plastic ? As long as the shell is not butchered then I can rob the prongs from a new but standard form of that type of connector. Going into a recessed socket in an epoxied box so no chance of wiring in .

Drilling 1.5mm holes opposite each of the prongy IDC bits, allows you to push each one out cleanly with a jeweller's screwdriver.
