I saw a few years ago a post was made about this TV with a similar problem:

(link to Google group)Basically my TV is doing the thing where the picture never comes on, but right when it should the TV cycles on and off, forever (until you unplug it).
The problem appears to be a bad Flyback Transformer, I was wondering if I HAD to use the Samsung brand transformer, or if a knockoff would be ok? I have found both here:

Anyway, I am not fully certain that this is the problem with my TV, but I was doing research before I popped mine open. Please advise on this issue.
